2024 Bestsellers
Your BMC Bookshop generally sells one or two copies each of many books rather than many copies of a few books. A “bestseller” here may mean only a dozen copies, often tied to an author event on campus. But this year, Michelle Francl’s Steeped: The Chemistry of Tea was an international sensation, and sales were far, far ahead of anything we’ve ever seen in a single year. Also notable is the continuing interest in Marc Schulz’s The Good Life, which makes our bestseller list for a second year.
Here are our top sellers for 2024 (through the end of November). Click on each title for more info and to order copies:
1. Steeped: The Chemistry of Tea by Michelle Francl
2. Merze Tate by Barbara Savage
3. Shuggie Bain by Douglas Stuart
4. Young Mungo by Douglas Stuart
5. Only Revolutions by Mark Danielewski
6. The Country of the Blind by Andrew Leland
tie The Good Life by Marc Schulz
tie Wound Is the Origin of Wonder by Maya C. Popa
9. Spiritual Care by Wendy Cadge
tie Blue Yodel by Eleanor Stanford
tie Bread and Circus by Airea D Matthews
As noted above, many of these sales were connected to campus events. The college hosted many lively and exciting author visits this year. We maintain a list of upcoming author events on this site at bookshop.brynmawr.edu/upcoming-events
