Textbook update - Spring 2021

April 16, 2021

As we approach the end of the semester, here's what you need to know about textbooks at your BMC Bookshop.

Spring Book Buyback will begin in store on Tuesday, April 20.  Buyback will remain open through Saturday, May 29 (Commencement day).

We are opening buyback early in response to many requests.  We will be buying back books from Spring 2020, Fall 2020 and this current semester, and please feel free to bring other books as well.  We are always happy to check prices on all books.  For buyback, your bookshop partners with MBS, a division of Barnes & Noble college stores, and we are able to pay cash for over 50,000 different texts, far beyond what is used in BMC classes.

For this buyback, we have eliminated the usual receipt requirement.  You're able to see books to us regardless of where or when they were puchased.  We are not guaranteeing prices for every text you have, but most all books used for a class here are included.  Please note that shrink-wrapped bundles, online access codes and coursepack/readers are not elibible for buyback.

There will be a remote option for students who are not on campus this semester.  Please stay tuned for details.

At this point in the semester, over 90% of Spring texts are still available in store (in addition to digital options for about a quarter of the titles).  But we are no longer automatically trying to restock when books sell out.  We'll fill your requests for out-of-stock titles on a special order basis. Text listings and stock status are up-to-date on this website.  The semester will stay open on the site through April 30.

Towards the end of this month, we will begin to hit deadlines for returning unsold books.  If there's anything that you still need for classes please grab it now.

This page was created on April 16, and will be updated through commencement.
