*Don’t Forget to Remember (Me) by Nekisha Durrett is a monument at Bryn Mawr College that answers the question, “What stories are missing from Bryn Mawr?” Placed in the Cloisters of the Old Library—a space marked by exclusionary history—the work embodies themes of reclamation, healing, and belonging. Its woven paver pathway forms an unbreakable knot, symbolizing connection and the college’s commitment to honoring all of its histories. Engraved pavers bear the names of Black servants from early records, with a glaze made from soil from Perry House, a Black cultural center established in 1972 and razed in 2013. It was dedicated in April 2025.
